"Mitsuoka Motor, a Japanese company, has just unveiled a micro kit car "K-4", equipped with a 50cc engine on its classical tested sports car body, developed for the do-it-yourself customers in Tokyo. It is composed of more than 500 parts and takes approximately 40 hours to assemble. The Kit-Car measures just under 2.5 meters (eight feet) long and can run at up to 50 kilometers (31 miles) an hour."Another hobby I wanted to add to my to do list: Make a car and stick my own logo. Hey, I'm a car maker!

Spluch: Japanese do-it-yourself cars
Spluch writes -
Touching Is Good
Quote from the site,
Want the functionality of a Tablet PC, but don't want to fork out the big bucks to get the love of a touchscreen? What if you could convert a regular laptop into a Tablet PC for just $130? The "Laptop Tablet" from NAVIsis won't directly transmogrify that standard LCD screen, per se, but the small attachment latches itself onto the side of your display, effectively giving you a touchscreen-like interface.Note: Excessive touching can lead to scratching of screen. Use stylus discretely and moderately.

Wireframe Car
Real or fake?
Yes, it's real. This is not a computer generated image. It is actually a 1:1 wire frame of Subaru Impreza complete with Yokohama tires. This sculpture is done by British artist Benedict Radclift. And yes, the sculpture is parked on the roads in the UK.

Apparently local traffic cops weren’t pleased that the art was parked outside of the gallery on the street, as over the course of a few days, it was issued a few parking tickets!
So, the real question here is..."How far will it go on a full tank of gas?"

Barenaked Ladies: New Album. Free. No DRM. Now.
The songs will only be free through the first few downloads, and will start to rise after that. But even at full price, listeners are getting quality music, DRM-free. Let’s hope other labels follow Nettwerk shortly. Market driven prices and no DRM = Music Nirvana.
Their business model is by initially giving out free downloads. Then, as more people download each song, the price starts to rise. It's a very good model as are higher priced song means that the song must be good and popular.
Too late, most songs are now above $0.50 cents now. Damn I missed the free downloads. But you can still download the full quality (192kb/s) version albeit cropped to show the first minute of the song.
