
The songs will only be free through the first few downloads, and will start to rise after that. But even at full price, listeners are getting quality music, DRM-free. Let’s hope other labels follow Nettwerk shortly. Market driven prices and no DRM = Music Nirvana.
Their business model is by initially giving out free downloads. Then, as more people download each song, the price starts to rise. It's a very good model as are higher priced song means that the song must be good and popular.
Too late, most songs are now above $0.50 cents now. Damn I missed the free downloads. But you can still download the full quality (192kb/s) version albeit cropped to show the first minute of the song.
